From the recording Hand Picked Tunes

written by Dave Harris and Francine Mitchell

A walk in the woods on a summers eve
scent of flowers through August leaves
the way you stared in the gathering dusk
and yielded to my hesitant touch

all these things that lovers do
I only want to do with you
and all the days you gave to me
I’ll always treasure endlessly

when the season fails and the nights grow long
and birds sing out their farewell song
even all the days we spent apart
seem like wasted time to my desperate heart

you love to dance in the December snow
enjoy a loving kiss under the mistletoe
through the long dark evenings the cold bites deep
and we cling together till we fall asleep
